1. Project Profile
1.1 Project Background
Longgang Experimental School is a large nine-year public school with 5,291 students. Its indoor gym, equipped with 9 standard badminton courts, serves daily PE teaching, student training and campus amateur matches. The original 400W metal halide lamp system suffered poor uniformity, severe glare and flicker, and high energy consumption, endangering students’ eyesight and failing energy-saving requirements. CPS Lighting undertook the full LED lighting renovation for the venue.
1.2 Project Demand
Lighting Grade Baseline: Meet JGJ Class II amateur training standard, actual test indicators reach Class III professional match level
Optical Index: Average illuminance ≥750lux, uniformity U2≥0.6, effective glare suppression, low flicker, high color rendering
Energy Saving Target: Cut power consumption greatly, reduce long-term campus operation cost
Layout Design: Side-mounted lamp layout specially for badminton courts to avoid direct light into human eyes
Construction Period: Complete design, delivery and commissioning within 22 working days
Stable Operation: Long service life of lamps, low maintenance frequency for school daily use
2. Performance Evaluation
Goal: Realize significant energy saving and reduce campus operating costs
Optical performance: ≥750lux average illuminance, U2≥0.6, low glare and flicker, high color rendering
Cycle: Complete full project construction and commissioning within 22 days
Design: Adopt bilateral layout to avoid direct light glare for badminton sports
Operation: Equip with long-life, low-maintenance lamps for long-term stable use

3. Design Standard: JGJ & FIFA Sports Lighting Classification
Design follows JGJ153-2016 Sports Stadium Lighting Design & Inspection Standard, aligned with FIFA international lighting benchmarks:

The school gym is positioned as Class II campus training venue, CPS optimized the whole lighting scheme to hit full Class III professional competition indicators for student sports teaching.
4. Customized Full-package Solution by CPS Lighting
4.1 Lamp Configuration

4.2 Core Technical Advantages
Custom Anti-glare Layout for Badminton: Bilateral lamp arrangement blocks upward reflected light, eliminate glare interference when watching shuttlecock flying
Ultra-high Energy Saving Performance: Replace 116 old 400W metal halide lamps with only 32 sets of 240W LED lights, energy-saving rate over 70%
Fast Turnkey Construction: Complete site survey, optical design, installation and debugging within 22 days, minimize impact on school teaching schedule
High Uniform Light Output: Professional optical lens ensures average illuminance ≥750lux and uniformity U2≥0.6
Long Service Life LED Light Source: Stable performance, greatly reduce school daily maintenance cost
HDTV Broadcast Grade Optional Lamps (SPL Series):
SPL02 Series: 500W / 1500W options, high brightness & Ra, low glare, integrated fin heat sink with cold-forged pure aluminum
SPL01 Series: 500W / 1000W options, independent precision lens, high light efficiency, integrated aluminum heat dissipation
4.3 Acceptance Outcome
After professional on-site testing, all 9 badminton courts reach over 750lux average illuminance with uniformity above 0.6, satisfying Class III match standard. Soft, glare-free light protects students’ eyesight, and the remarkable energy-saving effect cuts the school’s long-term electricity expenditure, fully recognized by the school management team.
